Muhsin Rizvić

Muhsin Rizvić is a man of institutions, as many describe him.
They called him in the days following his passing. Many would not have dared to say so during the life of this exceedingly modest and unassuming man, whose life's work and creative output deserve such a colossal epithet. At a time when the Muslim people had no institutions of their own, Professor Dr Muhsin Rizvić worked tirelessly, with research and dedication, to uncover and present many neglected values of Bosniak-Muslim culture, particularly its literature. In his relatively short life, he created a body of work worthy of admiration.
Biography
Muhsin Rizvić was born on 14 April 1930 in Mostar. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sarajevo.
In 1960, he graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo.
(Department of Yugoslav Literatures), after which he worked as a research fellow at the Institute for Literature in Sarajevo.
In 1970 he was awarded a doctorate in literary history by the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, where he taught Serbian and Croatian Romantic literature and the older literature of the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He was the first president of the revived KDB "Preporod" and a visiting professor at the Faculty of Philosophy.
at the Faculty in Zadar and at the Interuniversity Centre in Dubrovnik, and until his death he was a dedicated and respected professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo.
He died in Sarajevo on 9 June 1994.
He has published 13 books and a large number of studies, essays and scientific papers.
